Instant publishing

We live in an instant world, A world where everything must be here and now…

we live in an instant society, where all you have to do is to push a button and presto chango, something new has been created.

Can publishing really be as fast as pushing a button, short answer, yes you can.

There are many different methods of publishing with the push of a button.

This however brings up the question of quantity over quality.

Does quality make a difference It could be, however, there is really a missing ingredient, that is something that cannot be forgotten, these days you can hire out just about anything but to really create good content, for publishing, you need to have at least some talent for writing.

Can you get published electronically.

How does it effect your digital world?

Do you use marginal publishing or do you use dynamic publishing?

We live in an instant world, instant entertainment, instant, dinner, instant everything, and yes even instant pudding.

Perhaps you have heard the term instant publishing just add a few clicks and your done, we wanted to check that out and find out just what it takes to get published on some of these instant publishing networks, like amazon and lulu.

While it does seem to be easier than ever before it is not easy enough for the average person to do it, and if you want professional results you may have to hire someone to do it for you.

We looked at lulu which at first glance appears to be very friendly, and it is however, it still requires knowledge above and beyond that which most users possess, conveniently, you can outsource it.

While this may seem like a good thing at first it can run into money, certainly not as much as in the old days of self publishing, where you could easily end up spending five thousand dollars on getting published, perhaps that included 100 books.

The cost is still up there.

When compared to books in production on Amazon.com most people are just not going to pay the higher price for a lulu product.

For the time being we hope to find a good alternative to these powerhouse instant publishing houses, because for our money, its just not the way to go.

You might wonder just how is the best way to get your work published, well that is a good question one that we are actively investigating.

For some time now people have been predicting the death of the papers, and it now is beginning to look like this might actually start to happen soon.

Since so many people are getting their new online now, newspapers and the higher cost, is really starting to take its toll, it may be that newspapers will make the trip and transition to electronic form.

apple vs adobe?

Looks like the verdict is in, folks adobe either did not want to go to court, or thought that spending all that money on lawyers, would be better spent, supporting, apples, competition.

If you think of it that way then you can see just how dumb apple was in this issue and how it continues to be dumb.

One thing that seems crazy is how apple is treating the very people that have supported them for years, in some cases driving people back into the arms of windows, I bet bill gates is laughing and laughing and laughing…

But when you think about it, you just have to wonder what is going on over at apple, yes, they have sold a lot of ipods, they sold a lot of iphone, (not as many as they could have sold, if they had not gone exclusive with att) but who knows, if you bought apple at 74 then right about now is a great time to dump it, and I mean dump it fast before it goes down…

Why? Well, when a company creates problems for itself, like what has happened to apple in the past month then disaster is on the way and you read it hear first. Apple is allegedly going down down down, unless a change is made and that may in fact include taking the AX to SJ, if in fact he is responsible for this fiasco, who ever did this should be fired, fired fired.

They made an alleged enemy of a giant competitor, and that is stupid stupid stupid…
Prepare for a huge dustup, or not, the lawyers, are set to begin a huge lawsuit, that many feel apple is destined, to loose, even if they win.

So what up, is stevie out of a job?

Will adobe sue apple, and will apple sue back, the world wants to know, but in reality, this school yard bully fight is really stupid, mostly from little Stevie, it is just crazy and actually what is needed is a vote of no confidence.

What, you did not hear that here, but really come on Stevie, you really cant expect to play this I am going to take my ball and go home game with the company, the customers, the developers, (which are really customers too) dont forget that, you chiseler,

Well as many have suggested, the rumor mills are in running full time, with the most recent blast, or blunder by apple, which allegedly prohibits an entire cottage industry that was blooming in the shade of the great apple tree, but now may be defunct.

So with one fell swoop, apple may have caused Millions in damages, (allegedly)

NO one seems to know for sure but it does appear that if the language that we see in the new terms and conditions, which may be a thinly veiled salvo between two super powers, with entire villages, becoming collateral damage. Many fear that perhaps apple may have allegedly bitten off more than it can chew, so in reality, what we are seeing here, is a huge rip in the fabric of developers lives.

So really until we see some additional information, what we are facing is Xcode which is not as bad as some may have been lead to belive it is, sure the documentation, is allegedly, hard to follow and full of nerdy fluff,

One of the biggest issues is that many seem to be under the mistaken impression that apple cares about the little guys out here trying to make a living in a world where the hourly wage, has hit bottom since 1998, so in reality, the only thing that you can really do is to subscribe to the notion, when in rome…

Oh one final thought I am now wondering if I should just return all the ipads we purchased for our development team?

If apple wants to play war, then fine, but I can buy a boat load of droids, and still save money…

Ebay just make a Huge mistake?

As more people, begin to see ebay affiliate revenue drop and drop to nothing, it is starting to become evident that ebay has made a huge error in judgement…

Looks like the news is in for Ebay, and it may not be the news they allegedly wanted to hear, the new programs, seem to have not worked in the way they had hoped, this happens, most of the time when you hire people that may be very smart and have PHDs, but have little or no real knowledge about how the internet or even how computers work, We just have to say good luck with that…

We have to ask this question because it looks like in the changes that ebay has made to its affiliate program that it is no longer friendly to most websites, which if this is the case that most of the affiliates will move to other programs where they can make money without being dependent on a system that has no clear under pinning.  This is a huge problem, but apparently Ebay cares not.

After all it would appear that Ebay has made a series of trouble some mistakes in the area of both customer satisfaction and seller satisfaction.

AS a seller since 1999 I can testify that I have moved to other markets so instead of selling and buying more I sell almost nothing through ebay and tend to buy from other marketplaces this is because of all the policies that are in effect at ebay that tend to favor everyone but the buyer and seller.

I suspect that this new system that ebay has invested in will backfire in a really bad way, but we will have to see how it works out in the long run, for now it is yet another dissapointment in a long run of troublesome and disappointing situations at ebay.

learning by doing…

If everything were so easy even a cave man could do it, if it were so simple that all you had to do was to push a button then would not everyone be doing it? That is a good question and for the most part it is a question that few people even bother to ask, if you could just buy an ebook and make a million bucks over night would not everyone be a millionaire?

The cold hard truth is that few people ever are able to make the kind of money that they are promised they can make.

Even though right now there must be hundreds of ebooks that promise you can get rich if you just follow these simple instructions.

Just push this button and wham bam, congratulations, your rich, but in reality, that is just not the case.

In the real world, you have to learn how to setup websites, you have to learn how to do the work, you have to learn PHP programming or pay someone to do it for you, you have to learn and that is the trick, gaining knowledge is the one real way to be successful.

If you want to learn about installing a website with a good SEO base, then see our software its no charge and you can learn a lot just by using it. If you want a good host to get started with then you should check out host gator.

The end of the Internet?

Is this the end of free speech? the end of the Internet? The end of freedom as you know it?

Is this an end run around the constitution? If so when can we expect to see the same kind of action from our senators and congressmen?

Because I would love to see that kind of change in washington…

As you may have heard there are some brain damaged people, in washington that have had the bright idea that while they do not have to reveal when they have been paid to do something, now the rest of the internet has to do what they would never do.

So now they are saying that if you fail to fully disclose if you were paid money or in product, (wonder if that includes other things as well) oh well, as some have pointed out, it is crazy that we have people in our government that would never ever admit that they have been paid by special interest groups to vote one way or the other, yet, now we have these yahoos, that want to restrict the internet.

In fact here one such alleged crazy loon,

“As a Google engineer who has seen the damage done by fake blogs, sock puppets, and endless scams on the internet, I’m happy to take the opposite position: I think the FTC guidelines will make the web more useful and more trustworthy for consumers,” he says. “Consumers don’t want to be shilled and they don’t want payola; they want a web that they can trust. The FTC guidelines just say that material connections should be disclosed. From having dealt with these issues over several years, I believe that will be a good thing for the web.”

Excuse me your kidding right, I can see why google may have allegedly got rid of this guy.

So check out the latest crazy mess that our peeps are up to in washington.
